Is powder coating environmentally friendly?
Yes, powder coating is an environmentally friendly process. Unlike wet paint systems, the powder coating process does not use solvents in any way and VOC emissions are eliminated. With EPA regulations growing more and more specific, powder coating is fast becoming the technology of choice.

Is Powder Coating Durable?
Yes. Surfaces that have been powder coated resist cracking and peeling and are abrasion, corrosion and chemical resistant. Ask us about or testing processes to ensure quality coatings.

What colors are available?
There is very little limitation to the colors available. In addition to standard color offerings, powder coatings are available in metallics, textures and special effects.

What Can Be Coated?
Any metal object that can hold an electrostatic charge and withstand the heat of the curing process can be powder coated.

Is it possible for certain areas on a piece to stay coating-free?
Yes, high temperature masking and plugging can be applied to all areas not requiring powder.

What is Clear Powder Coating?
Clear powder can be applied to a raw metal surface for those wanting a protective coat. In addition it can be used to add a high sheen or matte finish over a colored powder and add additional UV protection.

How long does powder coating last?
While powder coat lasts significantly longer than most liquid paints, the average life span of a finished product varies depending upon the environment it is exposed to.
